The Content Creator Level 3 Apprenticeship is designed for individuals who create content for a wide range of media, including digital, social media, broadcast and print.

It is a revised version of the standard formerly known as Junior Content Producer.

What does the Content Creator EPA involve?

The end point assessment, or EPA, for the Content Creator standard is made up of two elements.

Project or campaign evaluation report, presentation of new content and questions

This assessment has two components.  An evaluative report, based on a project or campaign that the apprentice has contributed to, and developed content for, in the last 6 months leading to gateway. This is written in the first four weeks of the EPA period. Also, a presentation of additional/new content with questions, where the apprentice presents additional/new content to the independent assessor. The presentation should build on the project or campaign evaluation report created by the apprentice.

Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence

This is a structured, in-depth two-way conversation between the apprentice and independent assessor. It covers what the Apprentice has done and how they have done it, reflecting on their performance throughout the Apprenticeship and where they might have approached things differently.

The apprentice can refer to and illustrate their answers with evidence from their portfolio of evidence.

Apprenticeship standard

An apprenticeship standard is a short document based on an occupation, outlining the knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) needed for someone to be competent in the occupation’s duties.

All apprenticeship standards have an accompanying assessment plan. This document details the independent assessment that apprentices will undertake at the end of the apprenticeship. This will include details on the assessment method(s) and processes that will be followed.
