It is an independent assessment that confirms an apprentice has met the required knowledge, skills, and behaviours for their standard and is ready to complete their apprenticeship.

We work with apprentices, employers, and training providers. Our role is to deliver fair, independent assessment while supporting all parties with clear guidance and a flexible, approachable service.

The apprenticeship reforms aim to make apprenticeships more flexible and less pressurised. End-point assessment is being replaced by ongoing apprenticeship assessment, reducing reliance on a single final assessment.

Funding has been refocused to support younger learners and key groups, with changes to Level 7 funding and increased support for small employers. Greater flexibility has also been introduced, including shorter minimum durations where prior learning applies, alongside measures to encourage more 16 to 21-year-olds into apprenticeships, training, or work.

All assessments are delivered by highly skilled subject matter experts who are independent from the apprentice’s training. We follow approved assessment plans, apply consistent marking criteria, and operate clear quality assurance processes to ensure every assessment is fair, robust, and impartial.

Getting started is straightforward. Our team will discuss your apprenticeship standards, timelines, and requirements, then guide you through onboarding and next steps. We work closely with employers and training providers to ensure everyone understands the process from the outset.

We focus on reducing pressure and building confidence. Apprentices receive clear guidance, flexible booking options, and support before assessment, including optional pre-assessment meetings. Our assessors take a personable, professional approach so apprentices feel prepared and supported throughout the apprenticeship assessment journey.
