Data Analyst

The Data Analyst Level 4 Apprenticeship is designed for people who collect, organise and study data to provide business insight.

What does the Data Analyst EPA involve?

The end point assessment, or EPA, for the Data Analyst standard is made up of four components.

1

Project with presentation and questioning

The apprentice will complete a data analysis project after they have gone through the gateway. It will show that the apprentice’s work meets the needs of the business, is relevant to their role and allows the relevant KSBs to be demonstrated for the EPA. Apprentices will prepare and deliver a presentation based on the project, followed by questioning from the independent assessor.

2

Professional discussion with portfolio

The apprentice will submit a portfolio of evidence at gateway. This will support a 60 minutes structured professional discussion with an independent assessor.

Apprenticeship standard

An apprenticeship standard is a short document based on an occupation, outlining the knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) needed for someone to be competent in the occupation’s duties.

All apprenticeship standards have an accompanying assessment plan. This document details the independent assessment that apprentices will undertake at the end of the apprenticeship. This will include details on the assessment method(s) and processes that will be followed.
