Team Leader or Supervisor

The Team Leader or Supervisor Level 3 Apprenticeship is designed for individuals who manage teams and projects to meet a private, public or voluntary organisation’s goals.

What does the Team Leader or Supervisor EPA involve?

The end point assessment, or EPA, for the Team Leader or Supervisor standard is made up of two components.

1

Presentation with questions and answers

Apprentices prepare and deliver a presentation based on topic(s) covered within the apprenticeship. This is followed by questions and answers. The presentation title is provided post gateway and it will allow the apprentice the opportunity to draw on what they have learnt and experienced during their apprenticeship.

2

Professional discussion underpinned by portfolio

This is a structured, in-depth two-way conversation between the apprentice and independent assessor. It allows the apprentice to evidence how they have met the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed which are underpinned by evidence drawn from their portfolio.

Apprenticeship standard

An apprenticeship standard is a short document based on an occupation, outlining the knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) needed for someone to be competent in the occupation’s duties.

All apprenticeship standards have an accompanying assessment plan. This document details the independent assessment that apprentices will undertake at the end of the apprenticeship. This will include details on the assessment method(s) and processes that will be followed.
