The Business Analyst Level 4 Apprenticeship
The Business Analyst apprenticeship develops the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to assess organisational needs, model processes, and support the design and implementation of change across a range of business contexts. It is suited to individuals working in business analysis, change, or transformation roles across public, private, and charitable sector organisations.
What does the Business Analyst EPA involve?
The apprenticeship assessment for the Business Analyst standard is made up of two components.
Project proposal with presentation & questioning
After gateway, apprentices produce a 5,000-word work-based project proposal covering the business need, research methods, stakeholder analysis, and recommendations. This is followed by a 20-minute presentation and 25 minutes of questioning from an independent assessor, delivered remotely via Microsoft Teams.
Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence
A structured 60-minute professional discussion, delivered remotely via Microsoft Teams. The assessor uses planned and follow-up questions to explore how the apprentice applied business analysis methods, tools, and behaviours in practice, underpinned by a portfolio of real work from the apprenticeship.
