The AI and automation practitioner level 4 apprenticeship

The AI and Automation Practitioner apprenticeship focuses on designing, building, and improving automated systems that support business processes. It develops the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to apply AI and automation tools in real scenarios, analyse processes to identify opportunities, design and implement solutions, and work with stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes.

Our approach gives providers and apprentices flexibility in how assessment is delivered. By offering choice over appropriate assessment methods and when they take place, we can better reflect different roles, working environments and individual needs, making assessment more inclusive while keeping expectations fair, consistent and focused on the same occupational standard.

Mandatory assessment method

All apprentices will have to complete the following assessment method. This assessment method takes place on-programme, when the apprentice is ready.

Flexible assessment method

Providers and apprentices will select one of the following assessment methods. This assessment method takes place at the end of the apprenticeship.

You deliver the centre-led assessment method, while progress minded delivers the other assessment method and samples assessment decisions for consistency.
